Frank Stouffer

Frank E. Stouffer, 84, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Sunday, November 4, 2018.

He was born on December 14, 1933, in Shippensburg, a son of the late Guy P. and Elizabeth Marie Baer Stouffer and married Doris N. Stine on July 25, 1953 by the Rev. Glenn Perry.

In his younger years, Frank worked at the former Marden Clothing. Although, Frank was likely best known as the produce manager at Cressler’s Fruit Market, where he retired in 1996 or from the former Crider Meats where he worked until 2013.

He was a longtime and active member of the Cleversburg United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and acted as a Lay Leader. He was also a founding member of the Cleversburg Community Center. His hobbies included gardening, landscaping, auctions, traveling, and working, and helping with family and others.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, Doris; he is survived by three sons, Gary L. (Margaret) Stouffer, Jeffery L. Stouffer, and Andy W. (Michelle) Stouffer all of Shippensburg; nine grandchildren, Michele, Courtney, Justin, Brandon, Cory, and Shawnta Stouffer, Brittany Hockenberry, and Joshua and Viktoria Stouffer; ten great grandchildren, Lucas, Caleb, and Noah Blair, Nolan, Quinn, and Kylie Stouffer, Rylee Repman, Bryson Hockenberry, and Serenity and Gabriel Judy; three brothers, Galen R. Stouffer, Larry P. Stouffer, and Jerry L. Stouffer; three sisters, Marcia E. McDannell, Ruth E. Allen, and Arlene M. Coy; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane A. Weaver and Reba W. Weller.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, November 9, 2018, in the Cleversburg United Methodist Church. Pastor Barbara A. Servello will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cleversburg Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.
