Florence E. Rowles, 81 of Shippensburg, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 2, 1929 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Leah Esther Franklin Shriner.
She was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and a graduate of Shippensburg High School.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband Ray M. Rowles who died June 18, 1997, one granddaughter Lillian Kissinger who died October 1, 2004, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two sons; Ray Edward Rowles and his wife Ann, and Richard L. Rowles all of Chambersburg, two daughters; Saundra K. Rowles and Donna M. Kissinger and her husband Dirk all of Shippensburg, one sister, Virginia Reed of Shippensburg, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 28, 2010 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home inc., Shippensburg at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Paul K. Hauk. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
