Florence JoAnne Darr Adams, 78, of Shippensburg, died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at her home.
She was born on May 20, 1935, in Walnut Bottom, the daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude Mell Darr.
Florence was a Seamstress at many of the former local garment manufacturers. In her leisure time, she liked to attend auctions and go to flea markets.
She is survived by her husband, Milton W. Adams; four children, Betty (Jim) Johns of Chambersburg, Ruth Ann (Gary) Kennedy of Greencastle, Charles (Bev) Flory of Maryland, and Barbara Boyd of Shermans Dale; twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by one daughter, Ellen Flory; and two brothers, Raymond R. and Melvin R. Darr.
Her funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of Central PA at 301 Chestnut St. #101 Harrisburg, PA 17101.
