Faye M. Ordway, 83, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born February 11, 1934 in Shippensburg. Faye was a daughter of the late David and Louetta Miller Strayer.
She retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot where she was an Accounting Technician. Faye was a 1952 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She was a United States Army Veteran.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey “Jake” Ordway who passed away June 1, 2016. One brother and two sisters are also deceased.
Faye is survived by two children, Winifred L. Margolis of Enterprise, AL and Michael E. (Janet) Ordway of Newton, AL; five grandchildren, Joshua Margolis, Lori O’Connor, Melanie Crooks, Brian Ordway and Jennifer Anderson; seven great-grandchildren, Brent and William Ordway, Shane Marler, Alexis and Olivia Crooks, and Matthew and Meagan Anderson; one brother, Donald (Mary) Strayer of Mt. Wolf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. James O. Bolich. Burial with Military Honors conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Honor Guard will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
