Evelyn M. Crusey, 86, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born Tuesday, January 22, 1929, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Tucci Guerrisi.
Evelyn was a 1947 graduate of the former Harrisburg Catholic High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg. Evelyn was the Cafeteria Manager at Oak Flat Elementary School for several years and loved to cook and took pleasure in making everyone eat.
Evelyn is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann (Steven) Hershey, four sons; Frank W. (Beth) Crusey, Daniel L. (Nancy) Crusey, Reginald L. (Kimberley) Crusey, Jr., and David B. Crusey, all of Shippensburg, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald L. Crusey, Sr., who passed away September 18, 2005, five sisters, and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg, with Father Dwight Schlaline as Celebrant. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with a Prayer Service being held at 7:30 p.m., also a second viewing being held one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the church.
