Eula Mae Jones, 82, a resident of the Quincy Home, formerly of Chambersburg, departed this life on the evening of Saturday, December 7, 2024.
She was born on January 27, 1942, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rachael (Yohe) Baer. Eula married Raymond D. Jones on September 15, 1959. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1985.
Eula worked as a presser at the former J. Schoeneman / Stanley Co., for seventeen years. She also worked in the cafeteria for the Chambersburg Area School District for a period of time.
Eula was a member of the Salem United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. In her free time she enjoyed baking, especially pies; canning; fishing; playing BINGO; and camping in her younger years. Eula liked going to community events like meat raffles and games of chance.
She is survived by three children, Ethel M. Long and husband Kenneth of Fayetteville, Donald R. Jones and wife Deedre of Chambersburg; and Ray A. Jones and wife Renee of Shippensburg; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four siblings, David J. Baer, Edgar L. Baer, Howard R. Baer, and Ruby Shaffer; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eula was preceded in death by two brothers, and one sister.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Salem United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. Pastor Ron Cook will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday morning.
