Ethel F. “Peggy” Snyder, 85, a resident of Manor Care, Camp Hill, formerly of Hanover, died on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at the Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was born on September 26, 1928, in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Lloyd Gutshall and Iona Soxman.
Peggy was a Registered Nurse prior to starting her family. She then focused on being a homemaker to her husband and two daughters. Peggy was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA and had an incredibly strong faith in God which was exemplified in her daily living.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cathe M. Snyder of Glen Allen, VA and Laura M. (Jeff) Moore of Midlothian, VA; and two granddaughters, Megan M. and Karly L. Bergquist, both of Richmond, VA.
Her graveside funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Friday, January 10, 2014, in the Spring Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Faye C. Snyder will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 417 Phoenix Drive Chambersburg, PA 17201.
