Ethel L. Parks, 88, of Orrstown, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 14, 1922 in Mason-Dixon, Franklin County; she was a daughter of the late Lloyd L. and Mary A. Hippensteel Kitzmiller.
She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church and retired from Penn Pants Company both in Shippensburg.
In additions to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Parks who died October 28, 2001, two sisters and one brother are also deceased.
Ethel is survived by one daughter Patricia A. Romig of Orrstown, two granddaughters; Sherry L. Romig of Harrisburg, and Kimberly A. Walters and her husband Brian of Seymour, IN, four great grandchildren; Brandon and Ryan Mouery both of Harrisburg, and Kaleb and Erin Walters both of Seymour, IN.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Kathleen G. Coleman and The Rev. Bonnie B. Hoffman. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hall Cemetery. There will be no viewing, however a visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home Thursday morning.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the M.S. Hershey Medical Center’s Four Diamonds Fund, P.O. 852, Hershey, PA 17033-0852.
