Ethel J. Group, 76, of Chambersburg, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the Emergency Room of the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born December 19, 1938 in Selinsgrove, Snyder County. Ethel was a daughter of the late Jacob and Carrie Wagner Swope.
She retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg. Ethel was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Chambersburg. She was a graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy L. Group, four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Edward E. Group; three sons, Brian K. Group, Ricky E. (Jan) Group, and Troy A. Group all of Shippensburg; a sister, Zella Edwards of Chambersburg, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 10 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Jeff McCracken. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services Monday morning in the funeral home.
