Emma J. Hock, 77, of Mount Rock Road, Shippensburg, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Wednesday, June 9, 1937 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Edna C. Adams Alexander.
Emma was a member of the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church where she was very active in many church activities. She worked for many years at the former Nettie Frocks Clothing Factory. Emma loved and cherished her family especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Kevin L. (wife Christine), Terry L. (wife Lori) all of Shippensburg and Michael E. Hock of High Spire, one sister, Nellie Kelley, six grandchildren, Ginger Fogelsanger, Bradley Hock, Morgan Hock, Derrick Hock, Sara Smith and Steven Hollinshead, and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Bruce L. “Derby” Hock who died October 4, 2000, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church with the Rev. Lloyd T. Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
