Ellis L. “Pete” Rotz, 91, a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 7, 1928 in Shippensburg, PA. Pete was a son of the late Bruce and Sylvia Coy Rotz.
He was Co-Owner of the former J.A. Harglerode and Company, Shippensburg. Pete was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Shippensburg. He was a 1946 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School and was a member of the Cumberland Valley Lodge #315 F & AM.
Pete is survived by his wife Jean K. Martin Rotz, one son, Richard Trent Rotz and his wife Jill of Shippensburg, one daughter, Kathy Tolleson of Chambersburg, two grandchildren, Trent Martin Rotz and his wife Ermina and Lynn Ann Rotz, one great-grandson, Kody Ellis Rotz. In addition to his parents Pete was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Rotz who passed away May 15, 2010 and one brother, Dale Rotz.
Graveside service will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1 p.m. with The Rev. Dana Blouch-Hanson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Lutheran Church 34 East Orange St., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
