Eileen Shields

Eileen Kathryn Shields, 73, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Monday, September 28, 2020.

She was born on September 18, 1947, in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Armolt) Shirley.

Eileen worked for Vapor Jet Professional Cleaners, Shippensburg. In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors, shopping, and yard sales. Eileen loved being around kids, especially her own grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her kind, caring, and helpful ways.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles J. Shields, Jr.; one daughter, Charlene K. Shields of Shippensburg; one son, James R. Shields of Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Sara E. Shields of Newburg, Breanne E. Bigler of Shippensburg, Hunter Shields of Shippensburg; Caitlyn Shields of St. Thomas, and Kilee M. Gossert and husband Tyler of Kansas; and five great grandchildren, Kaylene Zeigler, Bryan Bouder, and Stella, Harper, and Kaedyn Gossert.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by two sons, Charles E. and David L. Shields; one granddaughter, Jolene Shields; one grandson, Tyler Bigler; and one brother.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 2, 2020, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Wayne A. Good will officiate. Interment will follow in the Air Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
