Edna V. Hoch, 87, of 4574 McClays Mill Road, Shippensburg went to be with the Lord Friday, April 23, 2010 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born September 6, 1922 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County; she was a daughter of the late William H. and Curvey Myers Holtry.
She was a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg and the following groups at church, the Ladies Fellowship, the Quilting Group, the Jolly Seniors, the Ruomie Group, and the Williing Workers Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester C. Hoch, Sr., a son Paul L. Hoch, a grandson Shawn D. Hoch, a great grandson Nathan R. Hockenberry, and three brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are six sons; William L. Hoch and his wife Darla, and Robert W. Hoch and his wife Debra all of Newburg, Richard L. Hoch and his wife Barbara, Jeffrey E. Hoch and his wife Jaylene, Lester C. Hoch, Jr., and Ronald L. Hoch all of Shippensburg, four daughters; Beatrice V. Shoemaker of Upper Strasburg, Vera M. Jones of Sail Creek, TN, Ruth A. Hockenberry and her husband Ray of Shippensburg, and Carol J. Hoch of Chambersburg, two brothers; Bruce Holtry and his wife Mae of Shippensburg, and George Holtry and his wife Dorothy of Newburg, one sister, Jean Flewelling and her husband Harold of Newville, 25 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, 13 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in the Ridge Church of the Brethren at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Earl F. Stovall and the Rev. Harold E. Yeager. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., 112 West King Street, Shippensburg and one hour prior to the services in church on Tuesday.
