Edith B. Fisher, 84, of Newburg, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 in the Hershey Medical Center.
She was born October 9, 1932 in Belleville, Mifflin County. Edith was a daughter of the late Daniel Y. and Arie H. Byler Byler and her step-mother, Fannie King Byler. Edith’s husband, Stephen B. Fisher died February 21, 2009 and one sister, Elsie Byler is also deceased.
She is survived by six sons, Isaac B. (Anna Mary) Fisher of Georgetown, PA, Daniel B. (Julie) Fisher of Fairfield, PA, John B. (Sadie Mae) Fisher of White Deer, PA, Stephen B. (Marinne) Fisher of Newburg, PA, Christopher B. (Sandy) Fisher of Ohio, and Amos B. (Martha) Fisher of Gap, PA, six daughters, Barbara B. (Omar) Stoltzfus of Newburg, Mary B. (Jonathan) Zook of Christianna, PA, Fannie B. Beiler of Newburg, PA, Susan B. (Ervin) Stoltzfus of Newport, PA, Ada B. (John) King of York Springs, PA, and Linda B. (Mervin) Stoltzfus of Bird-in-Hand, PA, two brothers, Samuel Byler, and Daniel Byler both of Addison, NY, one sister Melinda Stoltzfus of Addison, NY, 68 grandchildren, 166 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the home of Isaac and Susan Hostetler, 16 Creekside Drive, Newburg, PA 17240 at 9:00 a.m. The viewing will be held at the home of Omar and Barbara Stoltzfus, 466 Newville Road, Newburg, PA 17240 from the time of this notice until the time of the funeral service. Burial will be in the Blue Mountain Amish Cemetery, Newburg.
Edith’s family requests the omission of flowers due to religious reasons.
