Edith Fenton

Edith Mae Fenton, 96 of Shippensburg, died Monday, February 21, 2011 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Edith was born October 13, 1914 in Newville, Cumberland County; she was a daughter of the late Herman and Emma Zinn Fenton.
She retired from Knouse Foods in Peach Glenn and was a babysitter for many years in the Carlisle area.
Edith is survived by one daughter, Mary L. Bard and her husband Robert, Jr. of Shippensburg, one son, Gary L. Fenton and his wife Edna of Shippensburg, two grandchildren; Max Helman of Shippensburg, and Penny Stum of Walnut Bottom, four great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Edith was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Derek A. Wadlington. Burial will be in the Centerville Memorial Park, Newville. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
