Earl Leo Willhide, 70, of Shippensburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at York Hospital.
Born Friday, November 14, 1952 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Robert Leo and Esther C. Clough Willhide.
Earl was a truck driver for McCune Lumber in Shippensburg with 55 years of service. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Shippensburg, and an SAL member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion
Post # 223, Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patsey L. Helm Willhide, whom he married January 23, 1971; one daughter, Susan Renee (husband Alan) Seeders; two grandchildren, Parker B. and Paxton J.M. Seeders, all of Newville; one sister, Cindy Shoap, Shippensburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brae-Lynn Seeders; and one brother, Jay Clough.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 420 Baltimore Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with The Rev. Timothy Beitzel officiating. Burial will be private.
There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 325 Shippensburg, PA 17257.
