E. Mai Baltimore, 70, of Shippensburg, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born December 8, 1939 in Carlisle, PA; she was a daughter of the late Carl James, Sr. and Elnor B. Lane Nocho.
Mai retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot near Chambersburg. She was a member of the St. Peter’s AME Church in Shippensburg and their Hattie Pickens Missionaries. Mai was a volunteer with Christ Among Neighbors in Shippensburg, treasurer of the Locust Grove Cemetery, a graduate of Shippensburg High School and a member of the Shippensburg Borough Planning Commission.
She is survived by her longtime companion since 1977, Edmond Payton of Chambersburg, one son Julian “Troy” Baltimore and his companion Barbara Hockersmith of Shippensburg, two grandchildren; Janee M. Baltimore of Sacramento, CA, and Seth M. Weller of Shippensburg, a great granddaughter Autumn Marie of Sacramento, CA, one brother Carl J. Nocho, Jr. of Las Vegas NV, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Sarah K. Burke Murphy.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Walter R. Reed. Burial will held privately in Locust Grove Cemetery. There will be no viewing, however a visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home Thursday afternoon.
