Duane Haire

Duane R. Haire, 61, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

He was born on September 14, 1960, in Burlington, WA, a son of the late Thomas and Eula P. Benson Pritchard, Sr.

Duane was entering his fortieth year as a self-employed Master Flooring Mechanic, installing specialty floors, working for major flooring companies across multiple states.

He was a member of the New Hope Church of God, Carlisle and the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Shippensburg. Duane was known for being very selfless and was someone who truly enjoyed helping people. He was an avid guitarist, enjoyed golfing, barbequing, and loved Maryland crabs.

Duane is survived by his longtime companion of seventeen years and fiancé, Julie Myers of Shippensburg, two sons, Brandon and Bradley Haire of Baltimore; step-sons, Dusty and Dylan Myers of Shippensburg; five siblings, Bruce Haire and wife Regina of Shrewsberry, Sandra Haire of Virginia, Thomas “Bubba” Pritchard of Tennessee, Michael Pritchard and Jeffery Pritchard, both of Baltimore; parents in-law, Jim Bailey and wife Nancy of Chambersburg; father-in-law, Garry Robinson of Shippensburg; sister-in-law, Darlene Holt of York; sister-in-law, Janay Showe and husband John of Shippensburg; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by a brother, James “Al” Holt; and mother-in-law, Christine Robinson.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Dick Warner will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
