Dorothy M. Yeatter, 84, of Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Shippensburg.
Born Tuesday, May 19, 1931 in Mongul, Southampton Township, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Leroy and Edna May Holtry Gabler.
Dorothy was a member of Mongul United Brethren Church. She was a member of the Minnequa Social Club and loved watching old western movies, especially John Wayne movies.
Surviving is one daughter, Linda K. (Randy) Comerer, three grandsons; Lonnie E. “Butch” Snyder, Jr., Shawn L. Snyder, and Ricky A. Snyder, all of Shippensburg, five great grandsons; Austin A., Dylan M., Derek M. Damian H., and Braxton L. Snyder, one great granddaughter, Gabrielle L. Snyder, and one sister, Virginia Highland Small all of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey A. Yeatter who died August 8, 2003, two brothers, Donald E. and John L. Gabler, and one sister, Thelma C. Leidig.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Steve P. Salisbury officiating. Burial will be in Mongul Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
