Dorothy Rosenberry

Dorothy Virginia Rosenberry, 87, of Mountain Road, Orrstown, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at home.

Dorothy was born October 11, 1925 in Willow Grove, Franklin County on a farm that is now part of Letterkenny Army Depot. She was the daughter of Howard H. and Elizabeth Hoover Hoover.

Dorothy was a member of the Upper Strasburg Bible Church. She enjoyed quilting, vegetable and flower gardening. Dorothy was an excellent seamstress, and loved going to church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Garnet L. Rosenberry who died Friday, March 8, 2013.

She is survived by two sons, James L. Rosenberry, and David L. Rosenberry and his wife Jeanne of Upper Strasburg; one daughter, Judy A. Styers and her husband Bruce of Newburg; three sisters, Evelyn Byers of Shippensburg, Anna Reed of Lurgan, and Ruth Hancock of Pleasant Hall; five grandchildren, Rebekah Travis and her husband David and Michael DeMoss all of Virginia Beach, VA; William DeMoss and his wife Angela Rosenberry of Lurgan, Dustin Rosenberry of Terre Haute, IN, and Jennifer Rosenberry of Rochester, NY; three great grandchildren, Maximus Travis of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kai and Felix Rosenberry both of Rochester, NY; two step great grandchildren, Sierra Hoover and Dalton Mowers; and a step great-great grandson, Brayden Hoover.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Dwight E. Munson, Jr. Burial will be in the Keefer Cemetery, Horse Valley. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
