Dorothy Miley

Dorothy R. Miley, 65, of Shippensburg, passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at her home.

She was born on April 12, 1955, in Chambersburg, a daughter of Sarah Thomas Warren and the late Clyde Warren.

Dorothy was an avid reader of Christian novels and thoroughly enjoyed reading her Bible daily. She also frequently attended Abundant Life Chapel in Chambersburg. Faith was a very important part of Dorothy’s life. She was also very fond of flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur L. Miley of Shippensburg; daughter, Tina Brown and son Corey (Crystal) Miley, both of Shippensburg; one granddaughter Angelica Brown of Shippensburg; two brothers, Dick Thomas and Charles (Jackie) Warren, both of Shippensburg; and two sisters, Rose Mixell of Shippensburg and Sarah Oliphant and companion Scott of Ephrata.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Warren and a brother-in-law, Daniel Mixell.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. There will be no public services at this time.

Those in attendance are asked to observe the recommendations pertaining to reducing the potential spread of Covid-19; wearing masks, hand sanitizing, and social distancing as much as possible.
