Dorothy Mccrae

Dorothy June McCrae, 89, a resident of Elmcroft of Shippensburg formerly of Scenic Drive, Shippensburg, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 28, 2010.
Born June 30, 1921 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late John Blair and Sarah Esther Brubaker Pomeroy.
She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Shippensburg and retired from Cressler’s Fruit Market also in Shippensburg. She was active with Relay for Life in Shippensburg, loved to cook, bake, travel, music and especially local band concerts. Dorothy was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always wanting to help those in need.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Kenneth McCrae, two daughters; Deborah J. Anker of Hanover, and Christine L. Haines and her husband Ivan of Strasburg, four sisters; Isabelle Myers of Orrstown, Barbara Ott of Carlisle, Geraldine “Sis” Skinner of Sharpsburg, NC, and Jane Williams of Palmetto, FL, and four grandchildren; Adam Anker of San Diego, CA, Erin Anker of Hanover, Kierstin and Devin Haines both of Strasburg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. Brenda J. Kiser. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
