Dorothy M. Laughlin, 90, a resident of the Sarah Todd Memorial Home, formerly of Newburg, died Saturday, August 25, 2012 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born October 5, 1921 in Shippensburg, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Nannie Rebuck Dunlap.
Dorothy was a member of Newburg First Church of God and a member of their Eveready Sunday school class. She retired from the housekeeping department at Shippensburg University.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie D. Laughlin who died May 27, 2003. A granddaughter, two great granddaughters, two brothers, and three sisters are also deceased.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice M. Chamberlin and her husband Wilbur of Shippensburg, three sons, Daniel G. Laughlin and his wife Barb, Lee H. Laughlin and his wife Jeanette, and Richard H. Laughlin and his wife Rachel all of Newburg, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one brother, Walter Dunlap of Newburg.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg with The Rev. Dale H. Miller, Jr. and The Rev. Phyllis Martin officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
