Dorothy F. Adams, 69, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born Thursday, August 16, 1945 in Shippensburg, Franklin County, she was one of 15 children born to the late Noah and Nancy Naugle McMullen.
Dorothy was a graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Shippensburg. Dorothy retired from the Shippensburg University after 30 years of service in food service. She was a member of the Cleversburg Community Center. Dorothy enjoyed cooking and shopping. She loved and cherished her grandchildren.
Surviving is one daughter, Cindy F. (Clair) Hardy of Newburg, two sons, Harry Lynn Miller of Shippensburg and Clarence Edward of Shippensburg, two granddaughters, Hannah Hardy Neuder of Roxbury, Jannie Rae Miller of Shippensburg, three grandsons, Edward Scott Hardy of Newburg, Forest Edward “Chick” Miller and Dallas Quinn Miller both of Shippensburg, one great granddaughter, Faith Michelle Wilson of Roxbury, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. “Sonny” Adams who died April 1, 2004.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with The Rev. Ward M. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Mongul Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
