Doris J. “June” Van Scyoc, 84, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Friday, November 13, 2020, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital
She was born on July 9, 1936, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Lewis and Edna (Bard) Barmont.
June was a 1954 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She worked at the Newville Shoe Factory and the Beistle Company.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Van Scyoc and wife Cathy of Shippensburg and Steve Van Scyoc and wife Sallie of Chambersburg; three grandsons, Craig Van Scyoc and wife Alison, Spencer Van Scyoc and wife Alexis, and Carter Van Scyoc; two great grandsons, Lennox and Landry Van Scyoc; one brother, Lewis; three sisters, Berneda, Olive, and Haddiee; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband Donald and one sister, Delores DeHart.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, in the Norland Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Meagan Boozer will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter at 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
