Doris J. “Flipper” Lynch, 53 of Shippensburg, died Monday, July 12, 2010 in her home.
Born June 5, 1957 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of Nancy Lynch Hippensteel of Shippensburg and the late Barry Hippensteel.
She was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 and the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 both in Shippensburg.
In addition to her mother she is survived by a son, Chad Swartz and his wife Stacy, a sister, Beth Kugler and her husband Mark, three grandchildren Austin and Courtney Swartz both of Greencastle, and Michael Swartz of Gettysburg, two nephews; Bobby Kugler and his wife Sheila, and Sam Kugler all of Shippensburg.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her companion, Jack Meredith.
A viewing will be held Thursday, July 15, 2010 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no funeral services.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to Lutheran Home Care Services, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
