Doris Loree Barrick Heberlig, 62 of Shippensburg accepted God's Peace and complete healing on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Hershey Medical Center.
She was born July 8, 1950 in Newville, Cumberland County. Doris was a daughter of Miriam (Kelso) Barrick of Carlisle and the late Harold Barrick.
She was a member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren. Doris was a life member of the Newburg and Newville Fire Companies where she currently held the position of Financial Secretary. She was an amazing cook, pie maker, apple dumpling and pot pie expert. Her generous spirit and kind loving heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 24 years, 11 months, F. David Heberlig, her children: Troy Wiser, Teresa (Wiser) Clevenger and husband Doug, Kristie (Heberlig) Solomon and her husband Stu, Ashley Heberlig and wife Jill (Frey), Elizabeth (Heberlig) Swartz and husband Mark; her grandchildren: Joshua Beidel (who preceded her in death), Trevor Wiser, Andrew, Brooke, and Noah Clevenger, Sarah, Abigail and Leah Solomon, Jared, Rachel, Hannah, and Joel Heberlig, Lauren, Thomas,
Stephanie, Jonathan and Maddisyn Swartz; her sisters: Dawnie Turner and husband Gary, Fae Schneider and husband Gary, Kandi Lenker and her late husband Jack and Susie (who preceded her in death); her brothers: Dale Barrick and wife Terry James and Bob (who preceded her in death); many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Gerald Underkoffler and The Rev. Harold E. Yeager. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Hose Company # 1, P.O. Box 218, Newville, PA 17241.
