Doris P. Funk, 74, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Winter Haven, FL.
She was born July 21, 1942 in Chambersburg, PA. Doris was a daughter of the late J. Frank, Sr. and Susan Funk Pugh.
She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg. Doris retired from the Shippensburg Area School District in 1996 where she was an Elementary School Teacher. She was a 1960 graduate of the Shippensburg High School and a 1963 graduate of Shippensburg University.
In addition to her parents Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Upton K. Funk who passed away April 4, 2015. One brother, Don Pugh is also deceased.
Doris is survived by two sons, Brian E. Funk of Newburg and Charles (Tonya) Funk of Shippensburg, two grandchildren, Carter & Cassidy Funk of Shippensburg, two brothers, J. Frank Pugh, Jr. of Shippensburg and George Pugh of Pheonix, AZ and one sister, Ava Wenz of Winter Haven, FL.
Graveside services will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with The Rev. George W. Heckard officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Church of Christ, 121 E. Orange Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
