Doris Cline

Doris Jean Cline, 76, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Saturday, April 6, 2019, at her home.

She was born on January 14, 1943, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late James E. Clendening and Emma Jane Warren Martin, and step-father Franklin Martin. Doris married Lester M. Cline on July 8, 1961, at the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2010.

Doris was a wonderful homemaker throughout her life. Her life was centered around her family and she took care of everybody…..her kids, her grandkids, nieces, nephews, kids from the neighborhood. Doris was like a mother to countless children and she enjoyed every minute of it.

She was a longtime and very devoted member of the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church. She was also a founding member of the Lester M. Cline P.A.P. Foundation, of which she was very, very proud.

Doris is survived by her loving family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Her memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. Rev. Garry Culler will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her memorial service at the church. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematiorium, Inc., has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
