Donna M. Harre, 88, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at home.
She was born September 11, 1932 in Hopewell, Bedford County. Donna was a daughter of the late Harvey and Alice (Ritchey) Clark.
She retired from Pet Ritz in Chambersburg and also worked at Howard Johnsons. Donna was co-owner and operator of R & D Orchards in Bakers Summit. Locally, they sold fruit at Leinbach’s in Shippensburg. Donna enjoyed canning, cooking, gardening, and farming. She was well known for her Easter Eggs. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Harre, Jr. who passed away December 15, 2018; a daughter, Patricia Goshorn; a son-in-law, Terry Baker; and three brothers.
Donna is survived by one son, Todd A. Harre; three daughters, Debra J. DeHaas and her two daughters, Renee and Karis and their five children; Barbara K. Baker and her two sons, Preston and Warren and their six children; and Penny L. (Michael) Scileppi and their three daughters, Michelle, Christine and Allyson; a son-in-law, Dennis C. Goshorn and his three children, Trisha, Dennis II, and Charles and their four children; three sisters, Doris Mitchell, Mary Elizabeth Mellott and Sally Clark; and numerous half-brothers, half-sisters, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren, 4285 Raystown Rd, Hopewell, PA 16650. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Coffman. Burial will be in the Steele Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the church.
