Donna Gruver

Donna N. Gruver, 81, a resident of Green Ridge Village and a life- long resident of Shippensburg, died on the morning of Monday, September 23, 2013, at the Chambersburg Hospital.

She was born on March 4, 1932, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Roy C.and Ardella M. Sites Naugle. On August 25, 1950, Donna married Mr. Robert J. Gruver at the Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2001.

Donna worked as an LPN for twenty years, retiring in 1984, from the Chambersburg Hospital.

In her younger days, Donna liked to hunt and fish. She loved her animals and liked to garden, read, watch old movies, and do some bird watching.

She is survived by her four children, R. Clement (Lori) Gruver, Timothy (Bonnie) Gruver, Jeffrey L. (Connie) Gruver, and Letti M. (Keith Crider) Gruver, all of Shippensburg; two brothers, Richard Naugle of Shippensburg and Jack Naugle of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Rocky W. Spear will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
