Donna L. Deihl, 74, of Orrstown, departed this life on the morning of Monday, May 24, 2021, at her home.
She was born on February 22, 1947, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Harvey M. and Miriam L. (West) Hockenberry.
Earlier in life, Donna worked at the former Greif Co., Shippensburg. She then went on to work at the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, for seventeen years. After retiring Donna enjoyed providing child care at her home.
She was a member of the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168, Shippensburg; the Ladies Auxiliary at Falling Spring; and the path Valley Stag Club, where she also served as secretary. In her free time Donna enjoyed being outdoors and working around her house in the garden and flowerbeds.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacy A. Bradley and husband Michael of Mercersburg; step-son, Randy L. Deihl of Orrstown; two grandchildren, Ethan Culbertson and wife Annalise of Shippensburg and Alexandra MacInnes and husband Troy of Chambersburg; great grandson, Conner Culbertson; brother, Eugene G. Hockenberry and wife Peggy of Orrstown; three sisters, Yvonne E. Swank and husband Daniel of St. Thomas, Wanda K. Edwards and companion John Wilson of Gettysburg; and Nedra J. Ryder of Orrstown; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Elsworth Deihl, who died on April 9, 1985.
Her memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Marlin “Butch” Neil will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday evening. Donna will then be laid to rest proceeding a private service in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
