Donald L. Yeager, Sr., 75, of Shippensburg, died on the afternoon of Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
He was born on January 24, 1940, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Merle and Louise Yeager. Donald was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War Era. He married Ms. Mary Ann Mitchell on January 24, 1987, at a ceremony at their home.
Donald was a truck driver, employed with Ward and Roadway Trucking, and after retiring from the road, delivered parts for Keystone Ford, Chambersburg.
He was a member of the Shippensburg First Assembly of God. In his younger years he liked to camp, go bowling, and was an excellent baseball player. In his later years, Donald loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of twenty eight years, Mary Ann; three children, Donald L. (April) Yeager, Jr. of Shippensburg, Melissa A. Patterson of Camp Hill, and Rae E. Sharrow of Newburg; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Jake and Bob Yeager; one sister, Janet Wingert; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
