Donald Eugene Uglow, Jr.

Donald Eugene “Don” Uglow, Jr., 69, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Mercy House of Chambersburg, with his loving wife by his side.

Born Tuesday, July 5, 1955 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Donald Eugene Uglow, Sr., and Janet Louise Smith Uglow, Shippensburg.

Don was a 1973 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. He retired from PPG Glass in Mt Holly Springs, PA, after 13 years of service. 

He attended the Shippensburg First Church of God. Don was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. In Don’s early years, he played softball for Cleversburg, Neil’s Garage, and Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home teams.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sarah V. Alleman Uglow, whom he married June 5, 1996; one sister, Carlene (David) Frey, Shippensburg; three additional brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and his Siamese cat Herman who he treasured.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in Spring Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Rodney Bistline officiating. A viewing will be held Friday, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
