Donald Finkey

Donald L. Finkey, 62, of Shippensburg, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born on January 26, 1946 in Carlisle, a son of the late Robert and Catherine Hall.

Donald worked as a cook at the former All American Truck Stop, now Petro Truck Stop of Carlisle, retiring in 2001. He liked to watch old Western movies, especially those featuring John Wayne.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Mary Russell Finkey-Keebaugh; two sons, Joseph A. (Priscilla) Finkey and John E. Finkey, both of Shippensburg; one daughter, Jane Mott of Shippensburg; one sister, Marsha (Paul) Treon of Mt. Holly Springs; eleven grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m., on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Timothy Vaughn will officiate. Interment in Hays Grove Cemetery will be private. Viewing will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, at the funeral home.
