Dolores Ann Costanzo, 75, of Chambersburg, died on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, while in Taormina, Sicily with her husband Angelo.
She was born on December 15, 1938, in Lancaster, the daughter of Joseph and Mary DeNisio Costarella. She married Angelo Costanzo on December 27, 1969.
Dolores was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School and became a practicing Dental Hygienist working in numerous schools and dental offices. She later earned a Bachelors of Education from Millersville University.
Dee had a great passion for traveling, her favorite destinations included Jamaica, London and Sicily. Living in Shippensburg for 42 years, she attended many University football games, musical concerts and lectures. She was an active and engaged volunteer, logging countless hours at the Shippensburg University Foundation.
Dolores was the last living member of her immediate family. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Angelo; as well as the many dear friends.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg. Rev. Daniel J. Menniti, STD, PhD, JD and Father Thankachan Augustine Valonchalil will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SU Foundation in support of the Costanzo Scholarship and mailed to 1817 Old Main Dr., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
