Dolores Barbeito, 93, of Newburg, departed this life on the morning of Monday, September 27, 2021, at her home.
She was born on June 6, 1928, in Teaneck, NJ, a daughter of the late Miguel and Mercedes (Gonzales) Diaz and married Raul Barbeito on August 29, 1953, at Bogota, NJ.
Dolores was a member of Christ Covenant Church, Shippensburg. Her life was centered around caring for her family and her church.
In addition to her husband of 68 years, Raul, Dolores is survived by two children, Pastor Raymond Barbeito and wife Kimberly of Newburg and Teresa Simchera and husband Bill of Fuquay-Varina, NC; three grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; her brother, Michael Diaz of Brick Township, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her sister, Carmen Lopez.
A private service will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Pastor Raymond Barbeito will officiate. A reception will follow at the Christ Covenant Church, Shippensburg, on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
