Delores J. Daihl, 76, a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the home surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 20, 1940 in Tyrone, Blair County. Delores was a daughter of the late Daniel F. and Margaret L. Crownover Kyper. Her husband of 52 years, Lester L. Daihl died February 8, 2012 a son, David L. Daihl died January 8, 2007 and one brother, Warren “Sonny” Kyper is also deceased.
Delores was a former member of the Newburg First Church of God and the Mongul United Brethren Church, Shippensburg.
She will be remembered as a woman of faith who unconditionally loved her family, with her granddaughters being her pride and joy. She continually shared the love of Jesus with others.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah K. (Jeffrey) Heckman and Amy J. Daihl, both of Shippensburg; three granddaughters, Angela R. Newman of King George, VA, Brandi M. Hershey of Orrstown, and Grace E. Daihl-Gochenauer of Shippensburg; and one great grandson, Aiden Newman of King George, VA.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Dale H. Miller, Jr. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hall Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday morning one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
