Deborah Brenize

June 20, 1953 — January 5, 2015

Deborah R. Brenize, 61, of Shippensburg went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, January 5, 2015 in the Hershey Medical Center.

She was born June 20, 1953 in Chambersburg, Franklin County. Deborah was a daughter of the late Walter B. and Dorothy L. Reddig.

She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg, where she taught Sunday School to many children. Debbie took pride in planning Children’s Christmas Programs and also was involved with many other church activities. She was an Assistant Director at Children’s Express Child Care Center and then taught preschool at Franklin County Head Start. Debbie was a 1971 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and a 1975 graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in Elementary Education.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Richard E. Brenize, three children, Jennifer E. Brenize of Emmaus, Walter T. Brenize of Allentown, and Alexander R. Brenize of Shippensburg, one sister, Nan R. (Richard) Hogan of Fayetteville, two brothers, Frederick A. Reddig of Mt. Holly Springs, and David L. (Linda) Reddig of Shippensburg, one sister-in-law, Carolyn Reddig of Shippensburg, four nieces and nephews, Julie, Jon, Ashley, Allison, and one great niece, Quinn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. George W. Heckard. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. There will be no viewing the day of the services.
