Dean A. Bowers, 55, of Newville, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at home.
He was born January 9, 1962 in Chambersburg, PA. Dean was a son of the late Robert C. and Rae W. Clites Bowers.
He worked for Valley Quarries, Shippensburg and was a 1980 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
Dean is survived by one son, Jack D. Weaver of Carlisle; two daughters, Kayla R. Goodyear and Felicia J. Bowers all of Newville; one brother, David Bowers; two sisters, Joan Fleagle and Lucy Betz, all of Shippensburg; and seven grandchildren, Lucas Stouffer, Leah Coons, Issabella Bowers, Ryan Weaver, Esmae Weaver, Payton Durff, and Cooper Gayman.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Memorial services will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
