David W. Stine, 84, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born June 22, 1927 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Blaine and Elsie Russell Stine.
David was a member of Prince Street United Brethren Church in Shippensburg. He was a co-owner of Stine’s Ceramics and retired from the former Genesco Pants Factory both in Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife Edna R. Shields Stine whom he married July 31, 1948, two sons, Robert D. Stine and his wife Debra of Mechanicsburg, and Rodney L. Stine and his wife Kay of Huntington, IN, four grandchildren, Emily Stine of Enola, Kimberly Frantz and her husband Kenny of Harrisburg, Stefanie and Sarah Stine both of Huntington, IN, a great grandson, Ethan Stine of Enola, three brothers, Edgar Stine, Frank Stine and his wife Judy, and Charles Stine all of Shippensburg, two sisters, Anna Bell and Doris Stouffer and her husband Frank all of Shippensburg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. James O. Bolich and The Rev. Lester F. Stine. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
