David Martin

David A. Martin, 86, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, June 14, 2012.
Born October 1, 1925 in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Amos W. and Mattie S. Weaver Martin.
David was a member of the Clearfield Old Order Mennonite Church, Shippensburg and a retired farmer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie M. Reiff Martin who died August 8, 2000 and nine sisters.
David is survived by five sons, Amos R. Martin and his wife Martha, Elam R. Martin and his wife Francis, Lawrence R. Martin and his wife Arlene, Luke R. Martin and his wife Lois, and Reuben R. Martin and his wife Margaret all of Shippensburg, three daughters, Mabel R. Martin and her husband Isaac of Shilo, OH, Rachel R. Horning and her husband John of New Holland, and Lena R. Weaver and her husband Paul of Shippensburg, 65 grandchildren, 128 great grandchildren, one sister, Annie Martin of Wakarusa, IN, two brothers, Reuben Martin of New Holland, and Amos Martin of East Earl, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the Clearfield Old Order Mennonite Church and Cemetery on Clearfield Road. A viewing will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the residence of Paul Weaver, 9077 Possum Hollow Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
Due to religious reasons the family requests that flowers be omitted.
