David W. Koser, 77, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his home.
He was born on September 22, 1946, in Shippensburg, a son of the late Guy W. and Bessie (Stine) Koser, Sr. Dave married Nancy L. Clendening on May 14, 1966. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2017.
Earlier in life, Dave worked in the construction field, but for the majority of his working life, he was employed with the Borough of Shippensburg for over thirty years, retiring in 2016. In his free time Dave liked to buy and sell cars, but his main hobby had to do with horses. He rode them in his younger years, but in his later years, he just simply enjoyed having them around to watch and tend to. He would buy and sell them from time to time and he always liked to have a filly or colt in his stable.
He is survived by his son, Dwain W. Koser and wife Nicole, of Shippensburg; a grandson, Diesel B. Koser of Shippensburg; a step-grandson, Tucker L. Wrights of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three brothers, Charles V., Delbert E., and Frank E. Koser; one sister, Shirley A. Bishop; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and spouse, Dave was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger L., Robert G., and Guy W. Koser, Jr.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Wayne A. Good will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Viewing will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
