David S. Blank, 74, of 7026 McClay’s Mill Rd., Newburg, died on September 29, 2010 at his home.
Born on September 5, 1936 in Salisbury Twp., Lancaster Co., a son of the late Joseph and Barbara Stoltzfus Blank.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Smucker Blank; six sons, Joseph B. (Mary Ann) Blank of Newburg, Amos B. (Ruth Ann) Blank of Shippensburg, Benuel F. (Anna Mary) Blank of Newburg, Aquilla S. (Florence) Blank of Shippensburg, Jacob E. Blank of Shippensburg, and David S. Blank, Jr. of Shippensburg; four daughters, Barbara A. (Emanuel) Kauffman of Newburg, Malinda S. (John) King of Newburg, Fannie S. (Jason) Fisher of Little Falls, NY., and Arie S. (Mervin) Esh of Newburg; two brothers, Joseph and Jacob Blank; five sisters, Fannie Esh, Rachel Fisher, Rebecca King, Barbara King, and Sarah Zook; 47 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Amos and Benuel Blank and a son-in-law, John Blank.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 7026 McClay’s Mill Rd. Newburg. Interment will be in the Mountain View Amish Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the residence from the time of this notice until the funeral service. His family requests the omission of flowers.
