Darlene Weaver

Darlene A. Weaver, 90, a resident of the Mennonite Fellowship Home, Hagerstown, MD, formerly of Newville, departed this life on the evening of Sunday, August 22, 2021.

She was born on November 1, 1930, in Manheim, a daughter of the late Elmer K. and Beulah Mae (Herr) Bruckhart. Darlene married Harold H. Weaver on January 3, 1953 in the Hernley Mennonite Church in Manheim. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2012.

Darlene is survived by her son, Harold E. Weaver, Jr., and wife Irene of Newville; ten grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Bruckhart and wife Margaret of Lititz, and Richard Bruckhart and wife Ruth of Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Darlene was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Bernard Spanier.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Stoughstown Mennonite Church at 3715 Ritner Highway Newville, PA 17241. The local ministry will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., at the Blue Ridge Mennonite Church at 2514 Walnut Bottom Road Carlisle PA, 17015.
