Daniel Michael Yeager, Sr.

Daniel Michael Yeager, Sr., 74, of Spring Grove, PA, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Kingston Court Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York, PA.

Born Saturday, December 23, 1950 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Roy W. and Ella Williams Yeager.

He was a 1970 graduate of the Shippensburg High School, and attended the Shippensburg University.

Daniel was of the Protestant Faith. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and in the United States Army as an officer during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2010 as an I.T. Specialist from the United States Department of Defense, after 40 years of service. 

He was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg.

Daniel is survived by three daughters, Angie Miller, Christie (Josh) Black, all from Shippensburg, and Ashley P. (Josh) Miller, East Berlin; two sons, Daniel M. (Brooke) Yeager, Jr., Fairfax, VA and William E. Yeager, Spring Grove; six grandchildren, Olivia Skye Blymire, East Berlin, Owen W. Yeager, Spring Grove, Brandon Taylor, Lexi Ferry, Gabby Black, and Clayton Black, all of Shippensburg; two brothers, Rick and Robert Yeager, both of Shippensburg; one sister, June Mitten, Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jackie Lee, Joseph M., and Roy F. Yeager, Jr.; and two sisters, Joan Mae Yeager, and Nellou Beretta.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with The Rev. Dale Detweiler officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Minutemen. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
