Daniel Lee Timmons, age 58 years, of Newburg went home to be with his Lord on the morning of Saturday, March 5, 2022.
He was married to the love of his life, Deb Myers Timmons on July 2, 1993.
Dan will be deeply missed by his family, Deb his wife of 28 years, parents John and Lois Timmons, three sisters, Denise (Galen) Alleman, Lissa Chandler, Carrie (Mike) Wilson, one sister-in-law Loni (Darrin) Dunlap, eight nieces and nephews; Brady Alleman and Kelsey Myers, Tara (Brandon) Ramsey, Alicia Chandler, Katelyn (Jeremy) Minnich, Shaina (Derek) Witter, Gunnar Chandler, Anna (Nate) Christian, Garrett (Anna) Wilson, six grand nieces and nephews; Collin Ramsey, Makenzie and James Witter, Wade and Willow Minnich, and Alexander Chandler. He was proceeded in death by his in-laws, Glenn and Marie Myers and brother-in-law Bill Myers.
Dan was born on March 16, 1963 and grew up along the mountain near Roxbury. A graduate of CASHS class of 1981, Dan worked for Nye Construction and Porter Bros. Furniture. He became the T in S&T Installations where he laid flooring for over 35 years.
He was an avid hunter who’s love of hunting took him from bear hunting in Maine to elk hunting in Colorado. His absolute favorite destination was Buffalo, Wyoming with his hunting buddies.
Dan was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working in his workshop on projects such as building furniture, restoring tractors of all sizes, fixing whatever needed fixing, and tinkering with his Jeep before taking it for rides in the mountains.
Spending time with his friends and family was important to him. Ice skating, sledding, camping, and sharing his love of farming were some of the ways he showed his love.
A viewing will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 3-5 p.m. in the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Newburg. Funeral services will be held Monday in the Church at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Bruce Levy and Pastor John Ile, Jr. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
