Daniel E. Naugle, 63, of Shippensburg, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Chambersburg Hospital on Monday, January 25, 2016.
He was born August 12, 1952 in Carlisle, PA. Daniel was a son of Myrtle E. Naugle Kriner of Shippensburg.
He retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot. Daniel was a United States Marine Corp Veteran of Vietnam and after the war he re-enlisted with the U.S. Army where he was a Helicopter Crew Chief. He was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 and the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 both in Shippensburg. Daniel was a past Shippensburg Little League Coach and a 1970 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Connie M. Naugle, one daughter, Danyel L. Martin and her husband Shane, one son, Bill G. Clough and his wife Denise, three grandchildren, Brett Clough, and Mariah and Emma Martin, and one brother, Robert Monismith all of Shippensburg, one sister, Kathy Pinko of Newville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by one sister Pat “Bead” Monismith.
Memorial services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 6:30 p.m. with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg Veteran’s Council following the service. Officiating will be The Rev. Harold E. Yeager. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services Friday evening.
