Daniel H. “Ducky” Middaugh, 64, a resident of the Shippensburg Health Care Center, died on the evening of Saturday, July 6, 2013.
He was born on August 14, 1948, in Doylesburg, a son of the late Raymond and Margaret Stoner Middaugh. Daniel married Alice Shearer on June 24, 1966 in Alexandria, VA.
Throughout his life, Daniel worked as a truck driver and was employed by White Oak, Wayne Feed, and Benders, over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice Shearer Middaugh; his daughter, Alice Jane Musser of Shippensburg; two granddaughters, Phylicia (Chad) Ritchie of Greencastle and Faith Musser of Shippensburg; four brothers, Robert Middaugh of Chambersburg, John Middaugh of Shade Gap, and Tom Middaugh of Greencastle, and Fred Middaugh of Mont Alto; two sisters, Gail Hockenberry of Big Pond and Dolly Mills of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Middaugh.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Mrs. Alice Middaugh and Mr. Chad Ritchie will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hall Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
