Dale Miller
March 16, 1935 — May 10, 2015
Dale Harry Miller, 80, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was promoted to glory with Jesus from his home surrounded by his family on May 10, 2015.
Born March 16, 1935 to Harry and Mae Scheaffer Miller, Dale is survived by his loving wife Donna (Aungst) of almost 59 years, three sisters; Catherine Kessler, Arlene Houck and Gerri Barrows and one brother, Ray Miller. Dale’s legacy will live on in his three sons, Dale, Jr. (Pamela) of Newburg, PA, Darrell (Paula) of Great Mills, Maryland, David (Leith) of Enhaut, PA and one daughter Darlene Leonard (Kirby) of Thompsontown, PA, and his eleven grandchildren; Todd, Megan, Carrie, Ben, Aaron, Billy, Alex, Reagan, Jason, Dillon and Valerie. Ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members will be forever changed having known him.
Dale was preceded in death by brothers Charles Goodyear and Harry “Art” Still.
Dale was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend of God. An alumni of the Scotland School for Veterans’ Children, Dale worked at Bethlehem Steel, E. J. Korvettes, Prudential Insurance, and K-Mart from which he retired in 1997. He loved Jesus and served the Enhaut-Steelton (Swatara) Church of God as a custodian for many years.
The family especially thanks the Central Pennsylvania Hospice Association for their loving care and support.
Following his cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Mt. Laurel Church of God, 1295 Piketown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
